Milstead Club Lambs was established in 2018 as a partnership between Jake Smith and Tom Miller (previously Miller Club Lambs).  Our mission is to continually improve the flock, until we could be competitive in state and national market lamb shows.

The flock consists of approximately 30 ewes, but with a diverse pedigree.  We have purchased genetics from some of top breeders in the country: Sloan, Shroyer, Harrell, Hild, Beatty, Achor, Wheaton, Neff, Rule, Hurliman, MacLennan, Hynus, and Powell Creek.

Our emphasis is on complete showmen that can compete in showmanship, market classes and skillathon at state and local competitions.  We offer clinics on showmanship at the farm for our customers, and enjoy working with novice showmen.

Our overall goal is in line with the 4-H motto: “To Make the Best Better.” We are continually working on making every aspect of Milstead Club Lambs better.  That includes the quality of livestock or knowledge to fine tune a showman’s skillset.

All lambs have been sold private treaty out of the barn, with the exception of one lamb that was that was sold at the Beatty Customer Appreciation Sale the past two years.
